UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to MD / MS / Post Graduate Diploma Programs through UP Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (UPPGMET-2016) for academic session 2016-17 in unaided minority as well as non-minority member medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh

Important Dates

Forms Available for Online Filling & Download: 20th October 2015 (Tuesday)
Forms Available at Participating Colleges: 15th November 2015 (Sunday)
Last Date for Online Form Submission: 01st January 2016 (Friday)
Last Date for Form Submission through Post: 04th January 2016 (Monday)
Date of Entrance Exam: 16th January 2016 (Saturday)
Date of Result Declaration: Second Week of February 2016
Date of Counselling: March, 2016

Details of Seats

The seat matrix may be changed as per the recognition given by MCI for admission in Session 2016-17. Updated Seat Martix for Session 2016-17 will be available on website in first week of January 2016

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have completed MBBS course from an institute duly recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)

The Internship of the candidate must be completed before 01st April 2016. The candidate must have his/her registration with State Medical Council/Medical Council of India

For NRI/Foreign candidates, the above mentioned criteria must be approved by the Medical Council of India

Subject to Regulations on Post Graduate Medical Education, 2000

Exam Pattern

The questions will generally be of MBBS level; the test will be of 3 hours duration; the UPPGMET-2016 will consists of a maximum of 250 marks; there will be a total no. of 250 objective type multiple choice questions
There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given; there will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer

Subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, TB and Pulmonary Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Ear, Nose and Throat

Test Venues: New Delhi, Greater Noida, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Varanasi
