Distribution of Duplicate Admit Cards at the Exam Hall: 13th February 2016 (09.00 am to 12.00 noon)

Date of Entrance Test: 13th February 2016 (02.00 pm to 03.30 pm)

Venue of Entrance Test: Examination Hall, MM University, Mullana - Ambala

Intake: 46 Seats

Distribution of Seats: Prosthodontics (06), Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (06), Periodontics (05), Conservative Dentistry (06), Oral Pathology & Microbiology (04), Orthodontics (06), Pedodontics (06), Oral Medicine & Radiology (04), Public Health Dentistry (03)

Note: Seat matrix including management seats will notified before counselling (seat selection)

Duration of MDS Course:

The period of training for obtaining MDS degree shall be three academic years including the period of examination

Eligibility Conditions

He/she is a citizen of India;

He/she has passed BDS exam from any Dental College/Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India/Govt. of India;

He/she has completed satisfactorily or is liable to complete one-year compulsory rotatory internship by 30th April 2016 from Colleges recognized by the Dental Council of India;

He/she is registered with the State Dental Council/DCI at the time of admission

He/she possesses a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended

Method of Selection

The candidates called for counselling will be required to produce all original documents/certificates/marks sheets, etc at the time of counselling. The candidates will be called for counselling before the Board according to their respective merit and they will be entitled to exercise their choice regarding the subject

Selection of the subject will be according to the availability of the seat(s) at their respective merit at the time of counselling

Scheme of Entrance Test

1) The test will be held on 13th February 2016 from 02.00 pm to 03.30 pm at Exam Hall M.M. University Campus, Mullana - Ambala
2) The candidates who secure less than 50% marks in the Entrance Test shall not be eligible for admission to the MDS Course
3) i) The test will consist of one paper of 360 marks carrying multiple choice questions
ii) Duration of paper: One hour and 30 minutes (02.00 pm to 03.30 pm)
iii) Number of questions (items): 120
iv) The test is of objective type - The candidates will be provided with a sealed the booklet containing an answer-sheet; the candidates are required to carefully read the instruction sheet on the question booklet before attempting

Syllabus (Exam Pattern) 

Syllabus of BDS examinations in various subjects as prescribed by the Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana/Marharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak/Kurukshetra University/Pt. BDS University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and duly recognized by the DCI with form the basis of the Entrance Test

The questions will cover the entire syllabus of the BDS course

How to fill in the Application Form

Candidates seeking admission to the MDS course is required to send his/her application on the prescribed form appeared in the prospectus

Before filling up the Application Form, the candidate must familiarize himself/herself with the information given in this prospectus and check his/her eligibility to appear in the exam; the candidate is required to go through the prospectus carefully and acquaint himself/herself with all the requirements with regard to the filling-in of the Application Form

Application Form should be filled in English only

The candidate shall fill-in the Application Form in his/her own handwriting in the block letters written neatly and legibly with blue/black ink within the prescribed boxes

Overwriting/cutting/erasing in the Application Form may lead to rejection of the Application and should be avoided; any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate

It is advisable to first fill in a photocopy of the form and then the main document

Application Form duly completed must be accompanied by one self addressed stamped envelopes (10"x4½") with postal stamps of Rs.40/- affixed on the envelope

The application form duly completed in candidate’s own handwriting should reach the Admission office of the University at Administrative Block, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana - Ambala, Haryana-133207 on or before 10th February 2016 by 04.00 pm
